Atiku Urges Tinubu to Heed Protesters' Demands

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has emphasized the significance of the ongoing nationwide protests against economic hardship, urging President Tinubu to address the protesters' demands.

In a statement on his X account, Atiku commended the peaceful conduct of most protesters, while condemning isolated instances of violence and police brutality.

Atiku called for continued solidarity and support for the #EndBadGovernance peaceful protest, emphasizing the importance of dignity and respect for the law. He also urged the police to engage professionally in managing the protests, refraining from harming innocent citizens and journalists.

Atiku encouraged security agencies to identify and isolate violent elements, ensuring that the actions of a few do not tarnish the majority of peaceful protesters. He admonished the government to heed the voices of the people, demonstrating a sincere commitment to addressing their demands with integrity and urgency.
