Edo Majority Leader, Charity Iguodala Aiguobarueghian, was the guest speaker at the Asuelite Meet and Greet in London, where she canvassed for votes for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Dr. Asue Ighodalo, ahead of the September 21 gubernatorial election.
The event, organised by Ighodalo's supporters and friends in the UK and neighbouring countries, witnessed an impressive turnout of Edo indigenes. Aiguobarueghian, a legal practitioner and representative of Ovia North East 1 Constituency, expressed honour in supporting Ighodalo's candidacy. "The winning party is PDP and the candidate who will coast to victory is Ighodalo," she said.
Aiguobarueghian's achievements in the state's eighth assembly and constituency level have made her a prominent figure. Under her leadership, the house of assembly has passed over 40 transformational laws aimed at revamping critical sectors of the state's economy. She has also introduced empowerment programmes, provided infrastructure, and facilitated poverty alleviation initiatives in her constituency.
The event aimed to strategize and mobilise Edolites to ensure Ighodalo's success in the upcoming election. Aiguobarueghian's presence and speech underscored her commitment to Ighodalo's candidacy and her desire to see him succeed Governor Godwin Obaseki.
