Emir Sanusi Condemns Kano Violence, Urges Peace

The Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, has expressed strong disapproval over the violent incidents that marred the nationwide protests in Kano, resulting in loss of lives and property. Addressing journalists at his palace, Mr. Sanusi described the events as "unfortunate" and sympathized with the affected families.

The monarch emphasized the importance of parental guidance, urging parents to closely monitor their children to prevent them from being exploited as agents of destruction. He lamented the vandalism of the multi-million naira NCC office, describing it as a significant setback for Kano State.

Mr. Sanusi stressed that individuals or groups instigating trouble do not represent the interests of Kano State. He appealed to the people to expose those responsible for fomenting trouble and encouraged everyone to pray for peace, progress, and political stability in the state.

Furthermore, the Emir urged the public to report anyone attempting to sell stolen items from the vandalism to the nearest security office, ensuring swift action and bringing the perpetrators to justice. By doing so, those responsible for the theft and vandalism would be held accountable.
