Katsina State Eases Curfew Restrictions

The Katsina State Government has announced a further relaxation of the curfew imposed to restrict movement, extending the allowed hours from 7pm to 7am to 10pm to 5am.

This development was disclosed in a statement issued by Mr. Abdullahi Aliyu-Yar'adua, Director of Press in the Office of the Secretary to the State Government, on Saturday in Katsina.

According to the statement, the Secretary to the State Government, Abdullahi Garba-Faskari, revealed that the acting Governor, Malam Faruk Lawal-Jobe, was pleased with the improved security situation across the state. Consequently, Lawal-Jobe directed an immediate review of the curfew.

Aliyu-Yar'adua quoted Lawal-Jobe as expressing appreciation for the conduct of security personnel and the cooperation of the people during the period of heightened security measures.

The acting governor also urged citizens to remain law-abiding as they resume their daily activities. This relaxation of the curfew signals a return to relative normalcy in Katsina State, following a period of heightened security concerns.
