NYSC Seeks Help to Rescue Missing Officials

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has issued an urgent appeal to security agencies and the governors of Anambra and Imo states to assist in securing the release of two missing officials. Mr. Eddy Megwa, NYSC's Director of Information and Public Relations, made the plea in a statement released in Abuja.

The missing officials, NYSC Akwa-Ibom State Coordinator, Mr. Okun Christopher, and his driver, Mr. Daniel Asibong, were last heard from on July 29 while traveling to Uyo on the Onitsha-Owerri Highway. Megwa stated, "They were in a white official Hilux vehicle with registration number 27D31FG when they went missing."

The NYSC has called on well-meaning individuals from both states to support the search and rescue efforts. Megwa urged anyone with information regarding their whereabouts to contact law enforcement agents in Anambra and Imo or reach out to any of the 37 NYSC state secretariats, Area Offices, or the National Directorate Headquarters in Maitama, Abuja.
