Police AIG Towuru Urges Officers to Respect Citizens' Rights

Assistant Inspector General of Police for Zone 6, Jonathan Towuru, has admonished police personnel to refrain from infringing on citizens' rights, emphasizing the importance of familiarizing themselves with relevant policy documents to avoid litigation.

During a decoration ceremony for 10 newly promoted Assistant Superintendents II, Towuru advised them to discharge their duties with professionalism and patriotism. He noted that the promotions align with the Force Manpower Development Policy, aimed at boosting morale for effective service delivery.

Towuru also emphasized the need for strict subordinate supervision and community integration to foster trust and confidence in policing. Newly decorated officers include ASP Solomon Orong, ASP Helen Thomas, ASP Ibiang Ibor, and ASP Liliana Okara.

ASP Orong expressed gratitude on behalf of his colleagues, pledging their commitment to protecting lives and property within the law.
