Oyetola's Food Support Scheme Distributes N6m to Osun Residents

The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, has continued his philanthropic efforts through the Oyetola Hand of Fellowship (OHOF) initiative, distributing over N6 million to residents of Osun State ¹. This quarterly programme, facilitated by Kayode Sowade in Modakeke, has been active since 2023.

At the fifth edition of the programme, Sowade revealed that the October event was held in honour of Oyetola's 70th birthday celebration. He stated, "So far, over 4,000 households have benefitted from the initiative. For this edition, 1,200 households benefitted from as we distributed over N6 million for them."

Sowade highlighted the initiative's history, saying, "This initiative was designed by Oyetola while he was the governor of Osun State when he was feeding 30,000 households on a monthly basis. This is just the continuation on a small scale."

Professor Olalekan Yinusa, representing the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, praised Sowade's efforts, noting that the programme would significantly alleviate hardship in the community.

The OHOF initiative demonstrates Oyetola's ongoing commitment to supporting vulnerable households in Osun State, building on his previous efforts as governor. By providing financial assistance, the programme aims to improve the well-being of residents and foster a sense of community.
