In a statement shared on its official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Monday, the Air Force stated that the online registration is free and will run from October 14 to November 25, 2025.
Interested applicants are advised to submit their applications via the official recruitment portal: nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng.
According to the announcement, upon completing the online application, candidates are required to print out the acknowledgement slip, parent/guardian consent form, and local government area attestation form.
The forms must be duly signed by any of the following:
- A military officer from the applicant’s state, not below the rank of Wing Commander in the Nigerian Air Force or its equivalent in the Nigerian Army or Navy;
- A Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) or higher-ranking officer;
- A Local Government Chairman or Secretary; or
- A Magistrate from the applicant’s state of origin.
Eligibility Criteria
1. Nationality and Fitness
- Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth.
- Male applicants must be at least 1.66m tall, while female applicants must not be less than 1.63m tall.
- Candidates must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit, meeting the NAF medical and employment standards.
- Applicants must have no prior criminal convictions by any court of law.
2. Age and Educational Requirements
- Non-trades applicants must be aged 18–22 years and possess a minimum of five credits, including Mathematics and English Language, obtained in not more than two sittings in WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB/NBAIS. They must also present their secondary school testimonials.
- Tradesmen/women must be aged 18–27 years and possess ND or NCE qualifications with at least lower credit from accredited institutions, alongside five credits (including Mathematics and English) in not more than two sittings.
- Applicants for trades requiring trade tests (such as drivers) must also hold a Trade Test Certificate and a valid driver’s licence.
- Sportsmen and sportswomen must provide evidence of professional experience, such as certificates, medals, or awards.
Selection Process
NAF stated that the zonal aptitude test for shortlisted candidates will be conducted at a later date, which will be communicated through the official recruitment portal.
The Force reiterated that the application process is completely free, warning prospective applicants to avoid engaging with third parties or fraudulent agents.
