Daniel Bwala, a presidential adviser, has alleged that a widely circulated interview between him and journalist Mehdi Hasan was edited in a manner that misrepresented his responses.

Prime 9ja Online reports that Bwala made the claim during an online conversation, arguing that the version released publicly did not reflect the full exchange.

According to him, the original interview lasted one hour and nineteen minutes but an edited version lasting about forty-nine minutes was later published.

He said: “Unfortunately that was not what transpired. Uh questions were asked and answered.”

Bwala also claimed that additional footage of past statements was inserted into the broadcast.

“They portray to the public that in that interview I was asked and when I answered it was not favorable. They played my previous uh uh comments regarding the question that they asked unethical and illegal.”
