According to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Suleiman Sidi, one of the suspects who fled during the terrorist attack on Kuje jail last Tuesday, has been apprehended.

The suspect was detained in a car park in Abuja, according to a statement released on Monday and signed by Femi Babafemi, the NDLEA Director for Media and Advocacy.

"The fleeing terror suspect, Suleiman Sidi, was detained in the early hours of Monday, July 11, at Area 1 motorpark, in the Federal Capital Territory, while attempting to board a commercial vehicle to Maiduguri, Borno state," read a portion of the statement posted on their Facebook page.

"Three wraps of cannabis sativa were discovered on him when he was searched."

"During a preliminary questioning, the wanted terror suspect admitted that he was being held on terrorist and robbery charges at the Kuje Correctional Center, adding that he was in fact one of the prisoners that escaped from the prison last Tuesday."

A Suleiman Idi who resembled the suspect detained by the NDLEA was found on the Nigerian Correctional Services' wanted list.
