ASUU Strike: UNIBEN debunks resumption date

 The University of Benin (UNIBEN) administration has refuted claims that it ordered students to return on September 4, 2022.

In a curt statement released by Dr. Benedicta Ehanire, the institution's public relations officer, the administrators of the school pleaded with students and parents to ignore the rumour.

The management stated its desire for things to get back to normal, but it insisted that it lacked the authority to order the students to restart.

"The University is not in a position to arbitrarily direct students to resume classes, while wanting things to return to normal. Ehanire pleaded for guidance.
