Kwara United FC of Ilorin, a Nigeria Professional Football League team, has introduced Azeez Mohammed as their new technical adviser.
The NPFL team from Ilorin chose the unknown manager after Abdullahi Biffo, the previous manager, abruptly left the organisation during the recently finished season.
Coach Lukman Ijaiya, who was selected from the junior squad to the central team after Biffo’s unofficial departure from the group, led the team to a fourth-place finish.
Mohammed was introduced on Wednesday in Ilorin at a low-key event held inside the Club’s Secretariat, which is a part of the Kwara Stadium Complex.
The Club was listed as the second representative for the country in the Confederation of Africa Football Confederation Cup competition.
Rivers United FC and Plateau United FC will play in the CAF Champions League, while Remo Stars, which ended in the third position on the final league table, and fourth-placed Kwara United will play in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Mohammed’s first official game in charge of Kwara United will be the CAF Confederations Cup preliminary round fixture against AS Douanes of the Niger Republic.
The first leg and the reverse fixture will be played in September.
