Super Eagles static on FIFA ranking
Nigeria's Super Eagles, former African champions, kept their position in the most recent FIFA monthly rating.

The Jose Peseiro boys clung tenaciously to the 31st spot in the globe and the fifth-best position for an African nation.

Senegal's Terenga Lions, the reigning African champions, are in the lead, followed by Tunisia, Morocco, and Algeria.

Nearly nothing has changed in the Top 50 since the last edition: Brazil remains in first place (+), Belgium is in second place (+), and Argentina is in third place (+), while their nearest pursuers are still listed in the same order as in June.

Outside the Top 100, in addition to the aforementioned African duo, Mozambique (116th, plus 2) and Angola (120th, plus 2) also made up ground among CAF sides, as did Bermuda (168th, plus 2) in Concacaf.

With a raft of international games to come, in September in particular, a lot more movement can be expected in the next edition.

The next FIFA World Ranking will be published on October 6, 2022.
