Ekiti governor authorises primary school teachers’ recruitment

The recruitment of teachers to fill openings in the public primary schools in Ekiti State has received the governor's approval, Biodun Oyebanji.

The Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) in Ado-Ekiti said in a statement that Prof. Femi Akinwumi, its executive chairman, had received authorisation to raise the standard of elementary and secondary education.

The government said in a statement that it was determining how to begin the hiring process and that it would abide by all regulations, including advertising the jobs on the state's website and in reliable media.

It did, however, warn the general public and prospective candidates to be on the watch for phoney websites and blogs posing as the board's official recruitment platforms for the application seasons in 2022 and 2023.

“Ekiti SUBEB will soon recruit suitable teachers for our public primary schools. Procedures for recruitment are already being put in place. As soon as this is completed, we will formally inform the public through the Ekiti State Website (www.ekitistate.gov.ng) and reputable media outlets.

“Applicants should, however, beware of internet recruitment fraudsters, who may try to paint their websites and blogs as recruitment platforms for the board’s recruitment. Application forms for the exercise will never be downloaded on social media,” the statement said.
