The Labour Party's nominee for the Senate seat representing Delta North, Barrister Ken Kanma, has referred to rumours that he has switched parties as "a brazen fabrication" intended to deceive only the credulous.
He reassured the district's citizens that the film depicting his alleged decampment should not be taken at face value and that, despite any challenges, he would continue to run for the Labour Party.
This was revealed by the senatorial candidate in Ogwashi Uku on Friday. He noted that his rivals had previously circulated a partial list and asserted that the Labour Party did not have a candidate in the race, adding that "the same Labour party they claimed has no candidate was the Labour party whose candidate they said was decamping to PDP."
He declared to the residents of Delta North that he had no intention of joining the opposition PDP and that it was absurd to think that someone in the state would convert from the Labour Party to it.
He said that before starting their deliberate deception operation, his rivals had already destroyed every one of his billboards.
Being a politician, according to Barr Kanma, is not a licence for destruction but rather a call to service that should arouse the unusual values of persons who volunteer to serve the public. He condemned the vandalism of the billboards.
He vowed that if elected, he would fiercely advocate for his supporters in Congress. The days of watching from the sidelines in the National Assembly, he declared, are over.
