The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) said it would beat Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), in the Northeast, where he is from.

In a statement, Hon. Murtala Yakubu Ajaka, the APC’s deputy national publicity secretary, said that Saturday’s APC presidential rally in Borno showed that the cashless policy would not stop the people of the Northeast region from voting in large numbers for the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Ajaka, who was present at the presidential rally, expressed gratitude to Borno’s governor and the people for their enthusiastic backing of Senator Kashim Shettima, their son and the party’s vice presidential candidate.

The APC said, “The Borno outing is a clear message for the PDP and its presidential candidate that a surprise awaits them in the Northeast.

“The people of Borno State have spoken loudly and the message is clear that they are for the APC.”

Ajaka said he was sure that the APC would win in the Northeast and the country-wide general elections.
